More stores carrying my EcoFashion Products
I’ve been quite busy in the past 10 days or so producing orders for new wholesale accounts on Vancouver Island and also in the big city of Vancouver. A total of 5 stores and climbing are carrying my eco-friendly, fashion-forward, 100% recycled shirts and sweaters. The newest store is Be Clothing at 113 – 255 6th Street in Couternay BC, (right across from the Atlas Cafe). In Qualicum Beach you can find my products at Arbutus Emporium 2 Avenue West. Your Parksville destination is Shades of Green at 117 Craig St.. As I said in a previous post, Radway in Cowichan Bay and Scraps Vancouver round out the stores in BC who carry my products.
I’m considering taking a October sales road trip from Vancouver, through the Okanagan and into Alberta to meet and peddle my wares to other stores with an eco-fashion, green or local designer bent. Would love my peeps to recommend funky stores to contact that are looking for unique, handmade and recycled apparel. Let me know about your favorite boutique in your area!
As seen on Amazing Etsians
Wow, what a flattering article by @Oceansideblogs and Amazing Etsians. I love having a chance to explain my craft and my history to people who are interested.
While we’re on the subject of me, here are links to the two stores in British Columbia who are carrying my products, Scraps in Vancouver Your Green General Store @ 4770 Main St. and Radway in Cowichan Bay on Vancouver Island. I’m actively pursuing new wholesale opportunities nearby, so if you have a favourite local retailer who you think should be carrying my stuff, please tell her, then tell me.

T-Shirt 2.0, My New Line of Women’s Shirts, Rethought, Recycled
I’ve been tremendously inspired and excited by my new line of women’s clothing, a fashinonable line I’m calling T-Shirt 2.0. It’s taken my commitment to reusing and recycling even further than simply creating pillow forms and appliques out of old t-shirts. I’m still using these same raw materiels and including other womens shirts that have gone out of fashion and style.
I’m using up to three or even four different items per shirt, de-constructing them and then rearranging them together. The result is a unique, one-of-a-kind fashionable shirt or mini-dress, multi-coloured and multi-layered. Then I add one of my funky silk-screens to round out the design.
The response has been tremendous and my booth at the Duncan Farmer’s Market, Vancouver’s Make It Show, and this past weekend’s Mother’s Day Paint-In at Royal Roads University was chock a block with shoppers. They practically cleaned me out and I’ve been spending my days creating new shirts for each upcoming weekend’s Market days. I’ll be in Duncan on Saturday the 15th and Government St. in Victoria on Sunday. Come visit me there and pick up a T-Shirt 2.0 for yourself.
Pillows! Super fun and recycled!

My Recycled pillows are here!! All the covers are 100% recycled t-shirts. Some have the original screen print, cuz they’re super cool (see the kiss one!) and some have my original screens. They are all fully washable with a poly fill and are 50cm x 50cm. Check them out at http://www.etsy.com/shop/supercraftstar to purchase.
Upcoming
Working on new items for the Duncan Market this Saturday. The weather is supposed to be nice so I’m very excited! Not fun doing an outdoor market when the rain is falling and the wind is chasing away all our tents and the customers!
The ‘Make it’ show is upcoming in Vancouver. May 1st and 2nd. Check out their website http://makeitproductions.com/vancouver/welcome-to-make-it/ Should be a blast.
On mother’s day, I’ll be at Royal Roads in Victoria. I did this show several times when I did metal art and always enjoyed this lovely, outdoor setting. Lots of gorgeous things to buy with your mom. http://www.hatleypark.ca/special-events/paint-in.htm
Duncan Farmers Market / Portobello West Season Opener
Announcing my appearance at this week’s Duncan Farmer’s and Craft Market, this Saturday April 3rd at the City Square in beautiful Duncan BC. I’ve been sewing my heart out this week creating dozens of new one of a kind Purses and Totes for the spring season. 100% recycled, handmade, funky and unique. This will be my first show on the Island this year and I’m looking forward to the response.
On another note, the Season Opening of Portobello West in Vancouver this past week was quite successful, particularly for the inspiration it provided. So many beautiful things there, so many good ideas.
Come join my Facebook group for lots of new photos and dialogue with me and my fans.

First Blog!
This is so exciting! My first blog ever! I thought I would wait till I had something to say…usually a good idea. I’m thrilled to announce Super Craft Star will be showing at my local farmers market this saturday, June 6th. It’s supposed to be a gorgeous day so hopefully lots of people will come out and support this all local market full of delicious foods and fabulous arts and crafts. Main street, just in front of St. Pauls University. http://mainstreetfarmersmarket.org
Other news from the craft front. Trying desperately to find other shows around ottawa. This is such a densely populated area and you’d think there would be tonnes of cool little art shows in every small town. I’M LOOKING FOR THEM! IF YOU KNOW OF GOOD ONES, PLEASE CONTACT ME!!
